Profile of a photographer

There must be really heavy stuff in my cousin Foz’s camera bag, judging from the tautness of his bag’s straps against his shoulder. But he’s in great shape and does powerlifting in his spare time at the gym, so he’s all okay folks.
Still, he left his EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM zoom lens at home. He said to me, "it was too heavy".
I ain’t carryin’ his bag all the same.

Question by confused-girl.com: MacBook or Macbook Air ?
ok so i realise they both have their good points and bad points but which one would you get and why ?
I am choosing between the Macbook and the Macbook Air (“11.6) (the 13.3 inch one is to expensive)
Also i was wondering my brother has a Macbook Pro and has loads of software on there including apature 3 , apple office among other things. If i was to get the Macbook Air , baring in mind that it has file sharing does this mean i would be able to have all these programs essentially for free from his mac ? He does not have any of the CD’s for them , except aparture 3 (complicated reason) but he has them installed on his laptop , does this mean because he does not have the CD’s it would not work ? If that is true is there any way you could copy the content to a CD maybe and then send it to me via file sharing ?
If i got the Macbook is it at all possible to put my microsoft office on the mac otherwise ? i have all the cd’s for it ?
thank you for reading
sorry if any of the questions were dumb :/

This isn’t a dumb question. A lot of people aren’t sure which one is better for them. This is a personal question, in my opinion. They are both really good laptops, but I would choose the one that has the most features I would use.

CaseCruzer is pleased to introduce a Pelican case that will ease the air travel nightmare experienced by most photographers. The new camera case, the Photo StudioCruzer 1510, is the toughest airline-legal carry-on case available today. Now photographers can roll on and off an aircraft without fear of baggage handlers and accidents.
The mobile Photo StudioCruzer 1510 is yet another innovative CaseCruzer design of Montclair, California. Its modular interior gives photographers flexibility for storing and transporting equipment with closed cell foam adjustable sizers. And the exclusive lid compartment is the perfect cradle for an Apple MacBook Pro13.3-, 15-inch or the new MacBook Pro Air.
Once photographers reach their destination, they are ready to roll into any terrain, thanks to StudioCruzer’s 17-inch retractable extension handle and superior mobility. Also, since the Pelican case is equipped with side and front handles, it is easy to maneuver in any situation.
StudioCruzer is tough, too. The metal reinforced padlock protectors add strength and extra security against cutting and theft. And with buoyancy up to 64.2 lbs, this camera case is not only waterproof but ready and willing to be strapped to a kayak or canoe for river travel.
Paul Fetters, a photographer based in Falls Church, Virginia, has traveled the world shooting for USA Today, Time, and Newsweek. His corporate and non-profit clients also keep him on the run with challenging domestic assignments. He knows the drill and its inherent dangers.
“We’ve all had too many experiences of looking out the window of the plane just as your bag slips off the conveyor belt and crashes to the ground, or as the baggage handler tosses it in to the belly of the plane. And, no matter how careful your assistant is, sooner or later the case with the cameras or computer will dive from the cart onto the stairway,” he said when reached in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
And in this digital age when new products like the MacBook Air are introduced every year, Fetters said cameras are only one part of the fearless-flying equation. “Now that we’ve gone digital, the laptop is a piece of camera equipment. We don’t leave home without them.”
The versatile StudioCruzer, which weighs only 15 lbs when empty, includes standard Pelican case features, such as water and dustproof neoprene o-ring seal; automatic purge valve with Gore-Tex

The NiteCruzer 1510 laptop case introduces the latest addition to a comprehensive line of carry-on luggage by Pelican Cases. Business nomads with an eye for trailblazing amenities are chucking dual shoulder bags in favor of the new suave and sleek NiteCruzer – the toughest airline-legal carry-on baggage available today. This innovative spin on air travel marks the end of those days when technology and personal belongings required separate but equal spaces.
The mobile NiteCruzer 1510 is yet another progressive CaseCruzer design. This cutting edge laptop case with its spacious interior gives globetrotters ample storage for personal belongings. Yet it also pampers laptops with a protective lid compartment that is ideal for the Apple MacBook Pro 13.3-, 15-inch or the new MacBook Pro Air.
Arrivals and departures are always smooth with NiteCruzer’s deluxe 17-inch retractable extension handle, which allows world-class voyagers to roll in and out of any hemisphere with ease. And since the new NiteCruzer1510 is equipped with side and front handles, assistance won’t be necessary when hoisting it into an overhead bin.
Fortune-hunters who travel with laptop cases – and who doesn’t? – can easily survive the onslaught of tiresome travel conditions because NiteCruzer is a veritable fortress on wheels. The metal reinforced padlock protectors add strength and extra security against cutting, theft and air turbulence. And if travel plans demand that you tolerate stormy weather or seasonal downpours, the waterproof NiteCruzer by Pelican Cases with buoyancy up to 64.2 lbs is capable of rising to nearly any occasion.
Road warriors Bruce Johnson and Christine Toy Johnson of ReImagined World Entertainment have spent a lot of time on aircraft this past year. “The laptop is always critical, especially now. When we’re on the road, we have to take two. One for writing, and one for design and editing needs,” said Bruce Johnson. “I’ll often have two different carry-ons. But I tend to try to find an all-in-one bag that will carry both my laptop and other things.”
The Johnsons have encountered the full menu of travel headaches. But the most feared is when they fly into a major airport and transfer to a “puddle-jumper” aircraft to travel to remote locations. Often no bags may be carried onto these small planes. “They take your bag. And you just pray at that point,” Johnson said.
No prayers needed when rolling with NiteCruzer laptop cases. Although the peerless carrying NiteCruzer by Pelican Cases weighs only 15 lbs when empty, it comes with standard features, such as water and dustproof neoprene o-ring seal, automatic purge valve with Gore-Tex

Question by JMY: What Mac is better: “MackBook Pro” or “MacBook Air”?
In speaking about the prices, yes. I know the Air is more expensive but I want to know which is better in terms of quality, features, etc…
Best answer:
Answer by vlad
MacBook Pro is better. The Air is more of a fashion accessory. The Pro actually gets stuff done. Quality is about the same, but the Pro definitely has a lot more features and usability.
